I am a political scientist at the Department of Government at the University of Essex.
I have a PhD from the University of Konstanz and degrees from Johns Hopkins SAIS and University of Toronto. I have previously held a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford. In 2022-23 I am an academic visitor at Nuffield College, University of Oxford.
My work focuses on international and comparative political economy, with particular attention to climate policy, economic interdependence, international redistribution and the politics of crises.
Among other projects, in 2023-27 I lead the new Varieties of Climate Vulnerabilities project, funded by a Research Leadership Award from the Leverhulme Trust.
